(1) fried tofu (@ Goody Goody Noodle House, Shanghai)

(2) chao shou (sichuan wontons) (@ Goody Goody Noodle House, Shanghai)

(3) beef noodle soup (@ Goody Goody Noodle House, Shanghai)

actually liked this place better than Ji Heng... noodles were the thick knife-cut kind and the broth was more flavorful (but brother suspects they use MSG)

(4) passion fruit aloe drink (@ Happy Lemon, Shanghai)

(5) Minute Maid orange juice

fizzy orange juice, reminds me of some sort of cross between Sunny-D and Orangina

(6) shacho "boss" salad (salad w/ pork belly) (@ Toriyasu, Shanghai)

Stepping into Toriyasu (aka "Mini Door" because of the establishment's small aperture) really is like stepping into Japan in the middle of China. Authentic decor, ambiance, and amazing yakitori to match.

(7) (tori)kawa (とり)かわ (chicken skin) (@ Toriyasu, Shanghai)

(8) grilled gingko nuts, negima ねぎ間 (chicken thigh w/ scallions) (@ Toriyasu, Shanghai)

(9) sasami ささみ (chicken breast pieces) (@ Toriyasu, Shanghai)

(10) tebasaki 手羽先(chicken wing) (@ Toriyasu, Shanghai)

(11) tsukune つくね (chicken meatballs), nankotsu 軟骨 (chicken cartilage) (@ Toriyasu, Shanghai)

(12) tonkotsu ramen (@ Toriyasu, Shanghai)

(13)  yaki onigiri (grilled rice balls) (@ Toriyasu, Shanghai)

(14) mango pancakes (@ Honeymoon Desserts, Shanghai)

(15) durian vanilla sauce w/ ice cream (@ Honeymoon Desserts, Shanghai)

I'll try anything once, but durian was no exception in my "if it smells bad it probably tastes bad" rule :P

(16) mango, pomelo & sago sweet soup (@ Honeymoon Desserts, Shanghai)
