(1) seaweed peanut candy

(2) egg & cheese sandwich, fried dough stick (you tiao), sweet soy milk (@ KFC, Beijing)

KFC actually serves up a decent breakfast...

(3) corn-on-the-cob (@ Nan Bei Park food stand, Beijing)

disappointingly not sweet

(4) chocolate/vanilla/banana cream popsicle (@ Nan Bei Park souvenir shop, Beijing)

(5) Yanjing beer (@ Kao Rou Ji, Beijing)

A Muslim-Chinese restaurant, this establishment has a history spanning back to the Qing dynasty. Well known for the roast mutton.

(6) sauteed snow peas (@ Kao Rou Ji, Beijing)

(7) chao ma doufu (@ Kao Rou Ji, Beijing)

Not sure if that's what it's actually called, but it's basically a byproduct of the tofu making process (usually fed to pigs) cooked w/ sheep fat and what appears to be some veggies. Taste-wise it wasn't that bad, just couldn't get over the very unappetizing look and texture...

really tasty dish w/ HUGE shrimp

(14) fresh watermelon juice (@ Kao Rou Ji, Beijing)
